Hibiscus Revealed

Baltimore artist Greg Fletcher has created a series of Hibiscus images guaranteed to grab your "collector" senses. This amazing piece comes framed archivally in a black wooden frame.

Greg Fletcher is well known in Baltimore for his landscape paintings of Baltimore Streets, most of which are within half a mile of his birthplace in East Baltimore. His classical training is evident in his "Homescapes" which are infused with influence from the Barbizon School of Painting and modern American Masters like Hopper. One wonders if these works are really Baltimore, not some corner of a village in the South of France. His paintings are in many public and private collections internationally, including The University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, Johns Hopkins University, Alice B.
Casey Foundation, and The Alex Haley Museum.

Underneath this classical approach there exists a natural rhythm and motif which suface and become more evident in his more non-traditional work. A lover of jazz, dancing and a collector of African Artifacts, one can see this influence in his more graphic works,but also in his traditional works if you have the eye. A mature painter, Fletcher has "found his voice".
